"Scarlet Canna"

Spread design for an editorial photoshoot. Featured in Descent Magazine's 9th Issue, Superbloom.

To contrast the urban backdrop, I experimented with layers, varying opacities, soft gradients, and circular forms. As the spread progresses, I gradually introduced more floral patterns and vibrant red accents — a nod to the scarlet canna.

Spread design for a print anthology of personal student stories.

Since the piece focused on emotional growth, I drew inspiration from the scientific process of learning and transformation. I used scientific illustrations and monospaced typefaces as a nod to researchers’ field journals.

I experimented with textures, simple shapes, and gradients to develop a bright, almost hopeful mood that contrasted the writer's piece.
